Audi Birds of Prey World Cup Race Week

As the only World Cup stop in the US, the Audi Birds of Prey has become North America's premier ski event. Each year, incredible skiers from all over the world come to Beaver Creek to watch three days of races. Races include the Downhill, Super G, and Giant Slalom. This year, as a special bonus, some of the races were relocated from Val d'Isere, France to Beaver Creek. A trio of additional men's and women's races were added to the schedule. The event is so important that the schools in the Colorado ski resort area gave their students excused absences so they could attend.

Ted Ligety took second place in the men's Slalom and Lindsey Vonn took first place, her 46th World Cup Win. According to Lindsey, this particular race was the most special to her since it was in her hometown in front of all of her local fans. This win has made Lindsey the first American to win four World Cup races in a row.
