Aspen’s premier fundraising summer event is around the corner! ArtCrush is back and determined to exceed the $2.3 million dollars raised for the Aspen Art Museum in 2017. Contemporary artists will be carefully curated from across the country to be showcased and auctioned off. This 3-day event is filled with delicious food, fine wine, dancing, exhibition tours, collective visits, and talks. Below is a list of the events that will be taking place.
August 1
ArtWine
ArtWine, the kick-off event, is a full course dinner event along with dancing until the late hours. The dinner is hosted by Amy and John Phelan. Guests will enjoy a gourmet meal paired with the best wines cultivated in the region.
August 2
PreviewCrush
The Baldwin Gallery will be hosting a viewing of the artwork that will be auctioned off the next day. This event is open to the public, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, and is accompanied with hors-d'oeuvres and cocktails. Mingle and discuss the great works on display while planning your auctioning strategy!
August 3
ArtCrush
The main event will be held on August 3 at Buttermilk Mountain. ArtCrush is proud to announce that this year's Aspen Award for Art Honoree is Rashid Johnson, a renowned contemporary artist. His artwork has been featured across the country and focuses on African American intellectual and cultural life which include paintings, sculptures, photography and more. The event will begin with wine tasting, followed by a sit-down gourmet dinner and end with a live and silent auction. This main event is expected to draw over 600 attendees making it one of the most anticipated events of the summer!
