Christmas Carols in St Thomas

Spending Christmas at the Ritz Carlton St. Thomas means plenty of tanning on the beach, sipping cocktails, and sailing on the blue waters of the Caribbean. While Christmas on the island is much more tropical than a typical American Christmas, they do have some festive traditions. If you want to feel the Christmas spirit, go to Emancipation Garden at dawn on Christmas Day to hear groups of carolers participate in a friendly sing-off. Carols will include traditional American songs, plus songs native to St. Thomas.

St. John also offers a celebration with their Coral Bay Community Christmas Caroling Competition and tree lighting ceremony. St. Croix hosts a Crucian Christmas Festival at Buddhoe Park, which also features caroling.

Typical island carols are about guavaberry rum, a traditional drink enjoyed during the holidays, and Christmas cakes and food.
