St. Thomas Nightlife

St. Thomas has a fun nightlife scene, thanks to an abundance of hotel bars, beach bars, and restaurant bars. There is a good variety, some being more lively while others are more lounge inspired. Here is a list of the best bars St. Thomas has to offer!

St. Thomas Bars

Coconut Cove Beach Bar & Grill

The Ritz Carlton's Coconut Cove is an open air restaurant and bar that serves specialty cocktails, beer, and wines. Visit Coconut Cove when you're hanging out at the Ritz Carlton St. Thomas pool and beach!

The Greenhouse

This popular restaurant and bar is located in the middle of the Charlotte Amalie shopping district. The Greenhouse is popular with cruise ship passengers, shoppers, and the US Navy. The tables at the front of the restaurant offer views of the harbor. They serve Caribbean/American cuisine and have daily Happy Hours. Hours are Monday through Sunday from 10:30am to 2am.

Duffy’s Love Shack

This famous St. Thomas bar serves tons of tropical drinks under a tropical thatched roof. Go there for a lively party atmosphere, and try one of their massive drinks, if you dare! The 32 oz. Revenge of Godzilla or the 50 oz. Flaming Volcano are popular choices. Duffy’s has themed nights, including Ladies’ Night, Taco Tuesday, Lobster & Crab Night, Dollar Days, and Full Moon.

Molly Malone’s – An Irish Yacht Pub

This dockside pub serves Irish food, such as shepherd’s pie, corn beef & cabbage, fish and chips, and bangers and mash. Molly Malone’s has a great selection of beer, and the outdoor seating provides a great opportunity for people watching.

Offshore Bar

Havensight’s Offshore Bar is located adjacent to the cruise ship dock by the Port of Sale Mall. They feature live blues and rock music and serve $2 Heineken and Jagermeister.

Fat Boys

Fat Boys is a relatively new addition to the St. Thomas nightlife scene. They serve frozen tropical drinks, such as Frozen Painkillers, Mango Margaritas, or “CAUTION,” a blend of guava lemonade and 151 rum. They are the only place to serve Mako Shark Bites and a blackened Mako shark burger, “The Big Bruce.” Fat Boys has good bar food, including their Famous Fish Tacos, Cheek’n Sandwiches, wings and more. There is outdoor seating available at the “Shark Deck” overlooking Red Hook. Sports fans can watch games on their 50” plasmas. Fat Boys also has pool and slot machines. Check out their Happy Hour from 4-6pm for $1 off frozen drinks and ½ priced well drinks.

Caribbean Saloon

Caribbean Saloon is open 17 hours out of the day – from 11:30am to 4am and is located on the East End, by the Ritz Carlton St. Thomas. If you head to the upper floor of the American Yacht Harbor, you will find this casual steakhouse with 2 daily Happy Hours and food until 4am. The first Happy Hour is Monday through Friday from 4-7pm, with ½ off appetizers and $2 “U –Call its.” The second Happy Hour features the same offer from Monday through Thursday from 10pm to 1am.

Shipwreck Tavern

This pirate themed bar and grill is great during the day and for late night dining. They are famous for their delicious 3/4 lb. burger and are popular with the cruise ship crowd. Shipwreck Tavern has Happy Hour from 3:30pm to 6:30pm and daily food specials.

Mojo's Rum & Surf Shack

This tiki hut at the Port of Sale Mall is a local's hangout that serves lunch and drinks under a thatched roof. The party gets started around 5:30 and lasts until close at 10:30. Mojo's also features live music Saturdays.

The Dog House Pub

This new pub is a bar for humans and their pets! Bring your dogs and grab a drink, and enjoy the dog run and outdoor patio.

St. Thomas Wine Bars

The Cellar

This wine bar carries over 150 wine bottles and by the glass options from around the world. They also have a signature cocktail selection and Happy Hour from 5-7pm. Enjoy their seafood specialties in a relaxing atmosphere that includes a waterfall and dramatically lit bar.

Epernay Wine Bar & Bistro

Epernay is an intimate, sophisticated wine bar that serves fine wine and champagne. They serve French bistro style cuisine during lunch and dinner, Monday through Saturday. Epernay’s contemporary menu includes items such as a smoked salmon and brie plate, served with crostini, capers and onions, as well as steak and tuna entrees.

Herve Restaurant & Wine Bar

Herve has amazing panoramic views of the harbor and town from the terrace of their historic building atop Government Hill. They were awarded the Wine Spectator Award of 2010 for their well developed and varied wine list. This romantic restaurant is recommended by Travel and Leisure, The Washington Post, Sunday New York Times, and Gourmet Magazine.

Room With A View

As its name may suggest, Room With A View has incredible views of St. Thomas thanks to the many windows that line the walls and above sea level location. The intimate atmosphere of this bar and restaurant is the perfect place to experience their selection of fine wines. Their dining room is lined with shelves of wine bottles, and this selection has won them a Wine Spectator Award for the past 4 years. Not only do they have award winning wine, but award winning cuisine as well.

XO Bistro

XO Bistro is an upscale wine and martini bar with a laid-back atmosphere and an extensive wine list. They serve gourmet appetizers and entrees, including tuna carpaccio, baked brie, fondue, and a truffle plate. XO also features bands and DJs.
